Welcome to Small Business Women. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of our job board. By accessing or using Small Business Women, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Small Business Women is operated by Small Business Women (“we”, “us”, “our”). If you are using Small Business Women on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you are agreeing to these Terms for that entity.
You may use Small Business Women if you are at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a legally binding agreement. By using the platform, you confirm that you meet these requirements.

You may create a profile and apply for positions listed on Small Business Women. You are responsible for:
When you apply for a position, your application data — including your name, contact details, CV, and any other materials you submit — will be shared with the employer or recruiter who posted the listing. By submitting an application, you consent to this sharing.
Small Business Women connects job seekers with employers. We do not guarantee that you will receive interviews, offers, or employment as a result of using our platform. All hiring decisions are made solely by the employer.
If you post job listings on Small Business Women, you agree that all listings will:
When job seekers apply to your listings, you become the data controller for their personal data under applicable data protection law. You agree to:
You are solely responsible for ensuring that your job listings and recruitment practices comply with all applicable employment, equal opportunity, and anti-discrimination laws in your jurisdiction.
You must not use Small Business Women to:
We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms and to suspend or terminate accounts that engage in prohibited conduct.
We review content on Small Business Women to ensure it complies with these Terms and applicable law. Our approach includes:

You retain ownership of all content you submit to Small Business Women, including job listings, application materials, and profile information (“Your Content”).
By submitting Your Content to Small Business Women, you grant Small Business Women a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, store, display, and use Your Content solely for the purpose of operating the platform and providing the services to you.
You represent and warrant that:
Your use of Small Business Women is subject to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please read our Privacy Policy carefully to understand how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.
Small Business Women is built on the Job Boardly platform, operated by Glacier Systems Pty Ltd (Australia). Personal data submitted through Small Business Women is processed by Job Boardly as a data processor on behalf of Small Business Women. Further details are set out in our Privacy Policy.
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom (UK), you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and UK GDPR respectively. These are described in our Privacy Policy.
All intellectual property rights in the Small Business Women platform, including its design, software, and branding, belong to Small Business Women or its licensors (including Job Boardly, operated by Glacier Systems Pty Ltd). You must not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works from the platform without our express written permission.
Small Business Women is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Small Business Women shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of Small Business Women, including loss of data, loss of revenue, or loss of opportunity.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of Small Business Women shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) £100 / €100 / USD $100.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for fraud or death and personal injury caused by negligence.
We may suspend or terminate your access to Small Business Women if you breach these Terms or use the platform in a way that causes harm to others or to us.
You may stop using Small Business Women at any time. To delete your account or your content, please contact us at hello@smallbusinesswomen.co.
To comply with applicable data protection law, including the storage limitation principle under the GDPR and UK GDPR, we retain personal data only for as long as necessary.
If your account has had no activity for 12 months, we will send a warning email to your registered email address notifying you that your account has been flagged as dormant and is scheduled for deletion. If you do not log in within 30 days of that notification, your account and all associated personal data will be permanently deleted.
“Activity” means any login, profile update, job application, job posting, or other action taken through your account.
You can prevent deletion at any time before the 30-day response window closes by logging in. Once your account has been deleted, we are unable to recover your data.
Where we remove content, restrict your access to features, or suspend or terminate your account, we will provide you with a statement of reasons that includes:
This statement will be provided at or before the time the restriction takes effect, unless we are prohibited from doing so by applicable law.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on Small Business Women. Continued use of Small Business Women after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Small Business Women is established. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that jurisdiction.
Small Business Women may offer employers the ability to pay to promote their job listings above other listings. Promoted listings are displayed more prominently than non-promoted listings and are clearly labelled as “Promoted” or “Sponsored”.
Non-promoted listings are displayed in reverse chronological order (most recent first) unless otherwise indicated.
Small Business Women may display advertising provided through Google Ads or similar third-party advertising services. Advertisements are clearly labelled as “Ad” or “Sponsored” and are distinct from job listings and other organic content. The advertiser responsible for each advertisement is identified by the advertising platform in accordance with applicable law.

If Small Business Women qualifies as a hosting service or online platform under Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 (the “Digital Services Act” or “DSA”), the following provisions apply to recipients of the service located in the EU.
If you become aware of content on Small Business Women that you believe to be illegal under EU law or the law of any EU member state, you may submit a notice to us at:

We will acknowledge receipt of your notice, take action where appropriate, and inform you of our decision and the reasons for it.
If you disagree with a decision we have made in response to a notice of illegal content, or a decision to remove content or restrict your account, you may challenge it by contacting us at hello@smallbusinesswomen.co, setting out the grounds for your challenge.
For transparency, Glacier Systems Pty Ltd — which operates the Job Boardly platform on which Small Business Women is built — has appointed DataRep as its EU legal representative under Article 13 of the DSA. DataRep can be contacted at digitalrequest@datarep.com (quote “Job Boardly” in the subject line), via the online webform at www.datarep.com/data-request, or by post at DataRep, The Cube, Monahan Road, Cork, T12 H1XY, Republic of Ireland.
If Small Business Women qualifies as a hosting service or online platform under the DSA and is established outside the EU, Small Business Women is responsible for designating its own EU legal representative under Article 13 of the DSA in respect of its own activities. The DataRep appointment described above applies only to Glacier Systems Pty Ltd’s role as platform provider.
